Lingerie buying can be a minefield especially over the Internet so try following this collection of helpful hints and stay ahead of the game!
Lingerie that doesn’t show through
- ‘Nude’ colours. Choose shades the same as or slightly darker than your skin tone, they will disappear under see-through clothing. Chantelle, the French lingerie company have a particularly good range of skin tones. From black and ebony through to toffee, soft pink and ivory. - Smooth Fabrics. Save your gorgeous lace for your partner! There is no need to show everyone you pass on the street- unless you want to that is…Choose second skin ranges in smooth microfiber fabrics.
- No VPL! The string or thong has lost favour against the boy shorts recently on this one. Unless you have the perfect derriere shorts or Italian briefs ( no leg elastic) are much more flattering. Also don’t wear briefs or any underwear in fact that is too tight, you will give yourself bulges that you didn’t previously have.
- Control garments. Lycra and Spandex control garments need to fit, too tight and they just push the excess out somewhere else. They are designed to smooth your silhouette allowing your clothing to show off your shapely curves with no bulges.
